See every AI request before it leaves your browser. Block what shouldn't go through. The same technique malicious extensions use to steal your conversations — except this one's on your side.
Live on the Chrome Web Store today. Founding memberships are limited.
In December 2025, researchers discovered browser extensions with millions of installs were silently harvesting every conversation users had with AI assistants.
Switch between modes anytime from the sidebar panel that appears on any AI platform page.
Malicious extensions silently capture everything below. IcyHat shows it to you instead — and lets you block it.
All demos run locally in your browser. No data sent anywhere.
Most people have no idea what their AI usage actually costs. IcyHat tracks every request and gives you a shareable weekly report.
You've had hundreds of AI conversations. Code snippets, research threads, decisions you made with reasoning you can't remember. It's all gone the moment you close the tab.
Free: 3-day history • Founding Member: unlimited forever
Enterprise AI security costs $10,000+/year. IcyHat brings the same browser-level protection to individuals — and founding members make that possible.
IcyHat is live on the Chrome Web Store today. Original founding members get lifetime access, a direct line to the developer, and the best price this product will ever have. When these spots are gone, they're gone.
After the first 500 founding spots are claimed, IcyHat Pro moves to $8–10/month. Founding members never pay again.
IcyHat intercepts outgoing fetch() and XMLHttpRequest calls in your browser. In Firewall mode, each AI request is held in a JavaScript Promise until you click Allow or Block. If you block it, the request gets a 403 response and never reaches the AI server. If you don't respond within 60 seconds, the request is allowed automatically so the page doesn't hang.
No. IcyHat only intercepts outgoing requests — what your browser sends to the AI. It does not read or modify incoming responses. The conversation capture feature uses a separate DOM-based approach to record visible messages on the page, but the firewall only operates on outgoing traffic.
No. All data is stored locally using Chrome's built-in storage APIs. There is no analytics, no telemetry, no server, no cloud component. IcyHat cannot phone home because there's no home to phone.
They are estimates based on the outgoing request body. IcyHat does not have access to the provider's actual tokenizer, and output tokens are not measured since we don't intercept response streams. Estimates are generally in the right ballpark but should not be used for billing reconciliation.
The request interception and firewall features use network-level hooks that are resilient to UI changes. The conversation capture feature uses DOM selectors that may need updates when platforms redesign their pages. Founding Members get these updates for life.
Free gives you the full monitoring and firewall with 3-day conversation history. Founding Members pay $79 once and get unlimited history, export tools, auto-approve rules, session budget hard-stops, priority feature requests, and a direct line to the developer. When the 500 founding slots sell out, IcyHat Pro will move to a monthly subscription at $8–10/month. Founding Members never pay again.
